Key Stage 2

Key Stage 2 is made up of Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. Our children are aged from 7 to 11 years old.

In Key Stage 2 we learn Numeracy, Literacy and Guided Reading every morning. In the afternoons we study a range of subjects including RE, Science, ICT and PE.

All other subjects like History, Geography, Art and DT are taught through our topics each term enabling children to make links between subjects. We also have the opportunity to learn French.

Year 3 go swimming every Tuesday afternoon and all pupils have specialist music teachers who teach them to play the ukulele in Year 3, the guitar in Year 4 and about musical composition using Applemac laptops in Year 5. Children can also learn to play the violin.
