Black History Month
During October, the entire school focussed their studies on celebrating Black History Month and all of the past and present influential figures. Each class chose a different person to research and celebrate, throughout their Topic and RE lessons. The whole school also gathered together to watch Year 6's special assembly commemorating inspiring and important figures such as Rosa Parkes, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King. They highlighted the importance of racial and social harmony and how we should celebrate and appreciate our differences, as we do here at St Francis Xavier. Well done Year 6- a fantastic performance. Thank you to all parents and friends for your continued support.
