World Book Day

Today is a day to celebrate our love for books, but especially our love for reading! What do you love to read? Do you have a favourite book or a favourite author?

This morning, there is a range of activities below for you to choose from. If you are at home, you may even want to dress up as a character from your favourite book. Don't forget to send your work to me through Teams to show how you're celebrating World Book Day.

Also, for those who have joined the Year 3 and 4 book club, head on over to files in Teams where Chapter 13 of 'The Butterfly Lion' has been added today!

Click on the link below to access the virtual library. Every week a popular children's author or illustrator will provide you with free books, exclusive videos and their top three recommended reads. See if you can discover a new book today to fall in love with.

Click on the link below to view a range of YouTube videos of different celebrities reading a story for 10 minutes. Choose a video to listen to. Once you have listened to the story, why not write a book review. What was the story about? Did you like the story and why? Would you recommend this book to a friend?

There will be a live event to celebrate bringing reading to life at 10.30am. This will last for 30 minutes and will include talking to famous authors.
