Phonics

We are learning the /ow/ sound when it is spelt ow as in owl and ou as in mouth. Watch the videos below.

Complete the ow/ou sheet just like you do in school. Practise reading the words yourself first (sound out and blend), then read them to an adult.

If you have printed out the sheet, tick the ones you have read correctly.

Challenge

Choose at least 3 words and write each one in a sentence.

Remember to use joined/best handwriting, a capital letter at the beginning of your sentences, word spaces and a full stop at the end of your sentences.

English

Lesson title: To box up a story

Watch the video in the link below, and complete the activities within it.

Write today's date and lesson title at the top of your written work.

Maths

Please watch the video lesson in the link below and complete the activities within it.

I have also attached 2 tens frames if you want to use them for the final activity. I am sorry I cannot send any counters with them, but maybe you have something you could use at home?

RE

Watch and listen to the story: Jesus' Christmas Party by Nicholas Allan.

This is the story of the Nativity told from the grumpy inn keepers point of view.

Imagine you had gone to visit Baby Jesus. What gift would you take him?

Draw a picture of your gift, and write about why you would choose to give him this.

I have attached a drawing and writing template below, for you to use if you wish.
