Phonics

I have put links below to the Phonics Play website (www.phonicsplay.co.uk) for games and activities for /ar/ and /ur/ alternative spellings.

The site is free at the moment for home learning, but you may need to login.

You can login with the following details:

I have also added a link for Spelling Frame where you can practice the alternative spelling for /u/ as in brother.  The game, Snowball smash is free to use.

English

T: To listen to a story for enjoyment.

Listen to the story 'Smiley Shark' and then think about these questions:

How did the fish feel when they saw smiley shark smiling at them?

How does smiley shark save all the fish?

Who do the fish swim away from in the story?

Who does Smiley Shark talk to first?

Who pricked Smiley Shark's nose?

Who was twirling and dancing?

Who was blowing bubbles?

We still have two lessons to complete from our English sequence Baba Yaga.
