Phonics

Complete the alternative spelling pattern sheet for /ur/

Ask an adult to read the instructions to you (see below and the sheet).

1) underline all the different spellings for long /ur/ sound in the word list.

Practise reading all the words in the lists (sound out and blend) to yourself first. Then read them to an adult - tick the ones you read correctly.

2) Underline all the different spellings for /ur/ sound in the passage (text) . Then read the text.

3) In the last box, write a sentence using a word/words from the lists and draw a picture to go with it (illustrate it).

Challenge:

Choose a word from each list and write a sentence for each one.

Remember to use joined/best handwriting, a capital letter at the beginning of your sentence, word spaces and a full stop at the end of your sentence.

Statistics Assessment

Today you are going to complete an assessment on the topic statistics.  An adult can read the questions to you, but I would like you to try to complete the questions independently.  Please can you send me your assessment so I can see how you got on?

I have also attached a 'True or False' (T or F) question to make you think!

Art

T: To create a final piece.

Over the past few weeks you have learnt about William Morris and a variety of techniques including tessellation, rubbings and repeated patterns.  Today I would like you to create a wall paper, bringing together the techniques you have learnt or by choosing one that you prefer to create your final piece.

Think about what techniques you are going to use?

Have a look at the ideas below.

I look forward to seeing your final pieces.
