Reading - Play find the word. Choose any book, the adult finds a word on a page and the child has to find it. Choose harder words, so you can discus the meaning of them. (If you can get your child to use the word when talking or writing.)

Art we are making a window design (Like a stained glass window) based on pictures by William Morris. Look at the pictures on the sheet below.
You can choose which task you would like to do.
Choose an activity
Task A - Print out the coloring sheet. Do not colour it yet! Trace the design, putting the colouring sheet under a piece of tracing paper or grease proof paper. Colour the tracing paper or grease proof paper with felts (be careful, sometimes the felts smudge on the grease proof paper). Cut out the design and fix or put near to a window. Wait till the sun shines through it, it will be beautiful.
Task B - Find some material or wall paper with a design on. Put some paper on top of it and trace the design with a pencil (If the wall paper is fixed to the wall, don't press on too much as it will mark the wall) Next take your design off and colour with felts, crayon or paint. Cut out your design and fix or put near to a window. Wait till the sun shines through it, it will be beautiful.
Task C - Draw some flowers onto a piece of paper, colour and cut it out. Place near to a window. Wait till the sun shines through it, it will be beautiful.
