RE

Jesus travelled the land teaching people how to be good to each other and to love God, by telling stories (parables).

Parables might be harder to understand than some other stories because they have hidden meanings. They can seem to be saying one thing, but are really teaching something else.

Today's parable is : The Story of the Prodigal Son

Jesus tells the story of a father whose willful son refuses to work on the family farm, but goes off instead to see the world.

Watch the story in the video below from the Beginners Bible.

(The video includes the stories of -  The Lost Sheep; The Lost Coin, and then the story of the Prodigal Son).

I have also put a different version of the story below the video in pdf slides if needed.

How do you think each person in the story felt when the younger son decided to leave with his Father's money?

How might the Father and each of the sons have felt when the younger son came home?

Talk about the story with someone in your home.

Complete the 2 activity sheets, reflecting on the Father and 2 Sons in the story.
