Phonics

We are learning the /er/ sound when it is spelt ur as in purse and ir as in bird. Watch the videos below.

Complete the ur/ir sheet, just like you do in school. Practise reading the words yourself first (sound out and blend), then read them to an adult.

If you have printed out the sheet you can tick the ones you read correctly.

Challenge: Choose at least 3 words and write each one in a sentence.

Remember to use joined/best handwriting, a capital letter at the beginning of your sentences, word spaces and a full stop at the end of your sentences.

History - Significant People

Today we are going to be thinking about significant (important) people we know in our lives. Who they are and why they are important to us.

Then we are going to think about other significant (important and famous) people who are living in the world today and from the past (in History).

There is a short slide show below for you to watch and read - (you may need some help from an adult with the reading,) and there are 2 tasks for you to complete.

I have put 2 activity sheets below, one for each task, but you can use paper to draw and write on if you cannot print them out.

Music

We are so lucky, because Mr Shepherd has done some brilliant music lessons for us!  Please watch the video on the link below and enjoy!
